The Belgian Embassy in Qatar is looking for a  

TRANSLATOR AND POLYVALENT OFFICE ASSISTANT

 
Tasks

As a translator:

  • Translating incoming and outcoming documents from Arabic to French and/or Dutch or the other way around
  • Verification of translated documents

As a polyvalent office assistant: 

  • Filing visa files and files of Belgians and documents according to the instructions or in a logical order
  • Conduct interviews (for example, marriages of convenience)
  • Managing inventory of residence, Embassy and IT-appliances
  • Preparation and scanning of files of Belgian citizens

Technical competences

  • Excellent knowledge of Arabic and one of the national languages (Dutch or French) of Belgium, English is an advantage
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • IT-skills, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

 
Eligibility criteria

  • Minimum two years of experience - relevant work experience is a plus
  • The right to reside and work in Qatar
  • Prove of good conduct

 
Selection procedure

  • Written test and oral interview to assess the abovementioned competences
  • Date of entry into service: preferably 16/09/2019

 
We offer

  • A contract with a trial period of three months up to one year
  • Working schedule: 1/4, 7,5 hours per week
  • Working hours: 09:00 to 16:30
  • Gross salary: 2.500,25 QAR/month
  • Social Security: local social security
  • Holiday arrangements: 5 days per year
