Kitchen help 

 

1.      BASIC DETAILS  

Job title: Kitchen help

Type of contract: Local contract, fixed-term for one year with a trial period of three months. Contract can be converted into a permanent contract after the first year. 

Start: February 1st 2026 

Working time: half time – 18,75 hours a week. 

Salary: depending on relevant work experience 

Holiday arrangements: 21 days per year (in addition to 14 official holidays) 

2.      JOB DESCRIPTION & DUTIES 

The kitchen help is responsible for the organization of the kitchen of the residence. He or she is responsible for planning on a monthly, weekly and daily basis: planning of meals, planning of subsequent purchases and storage, and planning of the cleaning and tidying of the kitchen. The kitchen aid has a weekly meeting with the supervisor to prepare the planning, and to address needs and solutions. The kitchen aid uses written recipes for simple meals and ensures a smooth and efficient preparation and service of meals for guests, most often in a three course setting or coffee/tea setting. When appropriate and for larger events, he or she supports the service of an external catering service. He or she is a quick learner on the job and has an open mind towards new and different types of food and beverages (including special beverages) and has the capacity to come up with new ideas. The kitchen aid works in close collaboration with the housekeeper, and is a loyal and respectful team player. The kitchen aid has flexible work days and hours, which are planned in advance in accordance with the needs of the mission.

3.      ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 

Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications: 

  • Have a permanent legal residency in Qatar.
  • Education: Primary education, or relevant experience.

Multidisciplinary residential helper 

 

 1.      BASIC DETAILS  

 Job title: Multidisciplinary residential helper

 Type of contract: Local contract, fixed-term for one year with a trial period of three months. Contract can be converted into a permanent contract after the first year. 

 Start: February 1st 2026 

 Working time: full time – 37,5 hours a week. 

 Salary: depending on relevant work experience 

 Holiday arrangements: 21 days per year (in addition to 14 official holidays) 

 2.      JOB DESCRIPTION & DUTIES 

The multidisciplinary residential helper (housekeeper) is responsible for the household of the head of mission’s residence, under the supervision of the head of mission or his delegate. He or she will be primarily responsible for the cleanliness of the residence and its surroundings, for managing the official and personal linen (including washing, ironing, mending, and tidying), for the official receiving and accompanying of guests at the residence, and for the service of meals and beverages (dinner, lunch, coffee/tea, cocktails). He or she is a quick learner on the job, and has an open mind towards other cultures. The housekeeper works in close collaboration with the kitchen aid and with the caretaker, and is a loyal and respectful team player. The housekeeper resides at the head of mission’s residence. He or she works on the basis of flexible work days and hours, in accordance with the needs of the mission, with the observance of a weekly resting day and annual leave.

3.      ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
